This project at Riverhills was funded by the Lord Mayor’s Sustainability and Environmental Grant ENV02498 (2013-2014) and undertaken by Wolston and Centenary Catchments (WaCC). By Julie Vejle, Project Manager and WaCC member.
Wolston Creek Bushland Reserve was chosen based on its environmental and ecological values. It serves as a wildlife corridor connecting the Brisbane River to Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve and is adjacent to some large ‘Two Million Trees Project’ planting sites. The reserve also presented good opportunities for community engagement during and after the project period.
