Join WaCC and CDEA to celebrate World Environment Day at the Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve picnic area near the Pooh Corner Environment Centre, 100 Wolston Road Wacol. We are just near the Sumner Park Industrial Park off Spine Street.
This is a lovely casual morning event for all the family so you can enjoy getting to know the area and our local wildlife and our volunteers who work to keep our local waterways environments in good condition for the future.
Program:
7.00-9.30am – Bird spotting walk through the Brisbane City Council Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve.
8.00-9.30am – A nature walk through the Brisbane City Council Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve. This is an easily access walk. There is a wide gravel path, no climbing, no hills. Just a comfortable walk that you can make as short and slow as you can manage.
9.30am-10.30am – Free morning tea at the Pooh Corner Picnic Area
10.30-11.30am – Geckoes Wildlife will let you get up close and personal with a host of amazing Australian animals including snakes, crocodiles, frogs, possums, owls, lizards and more! will visit and introduce everyone to a variety of our Native Animals.
