The Jindalee Shared Pathway Bridge was officially opened by Councillor Jane Prentice - Chairman for Public and Active Transport and Cr Matthew Bourke - Councillor for the Jamboree Ward along with the Julie Attwood - State Member for Mt Ommaney on Saturday 10th April 2010.

The opening ceremony (pictured at left) was held at the Jindalee Park end of Kooringal Drive.

The new Jindalee shared pathway offers walkers and cyclists a continuous connection between the Jindalee Boat Ramp Park, the Western Freeway bikeway into the CBD and Rocks Riverside Park. The shared pathway includes Australia’s largest 52 metre single span aluminium bridge (pictured below).

This new bridge crosses a small creek that flows through Jindalee Park, joining the Brisbane River just a short distance downstream from the bridge.
